Peer Learning
Together, we rise as a mighty tide—united and steadfast—unlike a fragile, solitary wave!
Peer Learning is our very special and unique project where we commit ourselves to take care of our children even after they have been admitted to formal school.
Children who come to Shubhakshika belong to the underprivileged and deprived sections of society, hence they hardly get any support from the environment - their families or society. Keeping this in mind, we started the Peer Learning project where the children who have been admitted to formal schools after receiving necessary aid from our organisation can come to us beyond school hours for extra support. We provide a platform where these children can interact, grow and learn together in a supervised environment. The healthy interactions facilitated on this platform lead to their holistic growth, be it academics, behaviour, communication or other skills. Moreover, this platform is made available to the children currently enrolled with Shubhakshika as well.

2. Health and hygiene
Along with the regular students at Shubhakshika, the children who are associated with us only through Peer Learning are also provided lunch (courtesy ISKCON, Dwarka, Delhi) and breakfast/evening snacks which include nutritious food items like milk, eggs, fruits and cereals. They also receive nutritional supplements and other medical aid as per their requirements. Also, these children continue to participate in workshops/awareness programs related to health and hygiene, and are beneficiaries of everything offered to the regular children - sanitary napkins (for girls), regular general health check-ups, eye check-ups, dental check-ups like the regular children.
Mental Health
Individual and collective counselling sessions are conducted for children who continue engagement with Shubhakshika through Peer Learning, as needed and deemed fit, for their mental and emotional growth.
