On September 27th 2026, The Amar Jyoti Colony Centre of Shubhakshika Educational Society organised an educational outing to the National Science Centre, Delhi, bringing together 89 students and 10 accompanying staff members for a day of learning, exploration and shared experiences.
The day began with an exciting journey through the Centre’s interactive exhibits. Students explored concepts related to chemistry, atomic science, sound, electricity, motion and physical activity through demonstrations and hands-on installations. Instead of simply reading about scientific ideas, they were encouraged to observe, interact and
experience them directly.
A particular highlight was the Prehistoric Life (Dinosaurs) Gallery, where the children explored fossils, dinosaur reconstructions, interactive displays and immersive installations. They also experienced films about dinosaurs and the planets, while visiting biological and cultural sections of the Centre.
From Science to a Picnic at India Gate
After hours of exploration, the learning continued in a rather more delicious form.
The students and staff travelled to the India Gate area, where they gathered on the green lawns for a picnic. They shared a meal, talked with one another and relaxed together after a busy day at the museum.
The picnic became more than simply a break.
It gave the children time to enjoy the company of their friends and staff, share the excitement of what they had seen and experience the outing as a community. The day concluded with a final group gathering and photograph at India Gate.
The visit brought together science, curiosity, recreation and togetherness, creating an experience that extended learning beyond the classroom while giving the children a memorable day with their peers and teachers.
