    Education Beyond Literacy

    Shubhkakshika Educational Society was formed and registered in June 1993 under Society Act of 1860 by professors of Delhi university, school teachers,
    professionals and others committed to social causes. The Society has been working for education , rehabilitation and uplift of the underprivileged
    and the marginalised sections of the society by providing opportunities for education, by imparting employment oriented vocational skills,
    by creating awareness about relevant issues through camps and workshops and by procuring and distributing articles of basic needs to the needy.

Our Objectives

Marginalised Sections

To reach out to the marginalised sections of the society to fulfil their educational needs and to rehabilitate them socially and economically

Education

To motivate the drop-outs to restart their education. To enable them to join either the formal school or to complete their education through National Institute of open Schooling(at Shubhakshika).

Skill based Training

To provide an opportunity to children under compelled to work for their living. To provide them training in some skill ( as per age) to promote their rehabilitation.

Women Empowerment

To provide opportunities to women for education & empowerment.

our Role

Rising Ray Education Centre

Shubhakshika Educational society runs a Non Formal education centre called Rising Ray Education Centre.

Accredited Centre

The Education Centre is accredited with National Institute of Open Schooling under their Open Basic Education ( OBE) scheme for class III, V and VIII called Level A, B & C.

Education Centre in Rohini

The Society, through its Education Centre situated in Rohini, Delhi has been imparting elementary education to children and adults of the adjoining slum areas.

Open Shelter Home

Shubhakshika runs an Open Shelter Home for lost, run away and abandoned children under the sanction of the Department of Women and Child Development. It works under the direction and guidelines of ICPS.

Rehabilitation programme for juveniles

Shubhakshika runs a Follow Up Rehabilitation programme for juveniles in conflict with law.

Shubhakshika runs vocational courses for women and children.

Our Success Stories

Shubhakshika Educational society has been working for the rehabilitation of the poor and needy children with no schooling or very little schooling, school drop-outs ,children working, under financial compulsions, as domestic helps, children of construction workers who can not go to formal schools regularly on account of frequent shift of residence, orphans or destitute children living in State run Shelter Homes of Delhi Govt, uneducated women, women living in State run Shelter Homes, juveniles in conflict with law housed in Observation Homes of Delhi Govt. and adults who need educational and economic empowerment.
